I certainly wish the proprietor well, but I can't help but feel the Trolley Tour is a bit too big-time for Newburyport. We'll see what the summer brings.
A better use of the big trolley, or perhaps an added use, would be to transport residents and tourists to and from the beach, and to and from the train/bus station. Let's think about solving for summer parking, traffic, and the environment.
Anon, I believe it is intended to transport people to the beach, but I don't know if it's a direct shot or if it stops along the way. In any case, it goes out to the point. But it (or they) should go to the train/bus station as well.
I'm not a journalist, at least not a local one, but I do have questions to ask and comments to make. I'd love to hear yours as well. To show you how I form my opinions, I've posted links to the news you need to know about Newburyport. Return here often and follow this blog on Facebook.

I lived and worked up here in 1990s. Life and career led me away for a while but I’m very thankful both allowed me to return. A little background, I grew up in Revere. Went to BU. Worked as a reporter at a few newspapers before landing at The Daily News from 1993-1997. I moved on from here. I married quite well, and we have two great kids. I kept writing. No more fires or city council meetings. Now I write for a trade magazine. It's interesting stuff, but I still have a hankering to write about this place. So I do.

I saw the thing parked at Bob Lobster yesterday morning - it's HUGE! Like Godzilla.
